 Minerals & Energy

The minerals and energy sectors engage in a wide range of activities and processes. Many of those have the potential to give rise to serious air pollution issues.

These can be complex, variable, diffuse, and site-specific. They therefor require professional on-site evaluation to assess appropriate control strategies. For surface and underground mines, dust and other particulates are the principal hazards. Ore processing and oil & gas operations, on the other hand, can give rise to a number of potentially harmful chemical and gas residues.

APCINFRA has considerable experience of working with these sectors. We have experience in performing initial modelling, site measurement and laboratory testing through to system design, installation and the demonstration of regulatory compliance. We can provide consultancy at the process design stage already that can reduce the need for remediation at all. At a later stage, we can offer process modification. Modification of existing equipment, optimisation, maintenance, and addressing leakages in existing systems should all be explored before the acquisition of additional pollution control equipment.
