This client, a major defense contractor, was facing a challenge involving fume and dust extraction as it attempted to implement a major infrastructure upgrade which was critical to increasing their manufacturing capability. APCINFRA was approached to design and install a robust system that would meet all internal and external requirements.
After considering the particular needs of this client and the sector, APCINFRA designed and supplied a customised fume and dust extraction system. Features included take off points with slide gates, acoustic enclosures to ensure operation within strict noise guidelines, electronic VFD controllers with HMI’s and the installation of spark arrestors at the dust collector intakes. The system is now able to handle an airflow throughput of 25,000 m3/h.
