SunRice is one of Australia’s leading rice and food exporters. At their Leeton manufacturing plant, varieties of rice go through a milling process where the husk, bran and germ are removed to improve grain texture and to extend its life.
The bran polishing plant, required a new dust collector with a very tight envelope for the installation. The client approached APCINFRA to design a system that could accommodate these physical and environmental limitations.
By working closely with the client’s team, APCINFRA were able to deliver a custom designed dust collector & screw conveyor system. This included ladders platforms and access ways optimised to fit the client’s available space. Fitted out with a custom electronic control panel, the system now handles a 100,000 m3/h airflow whilst keeping noise levels well below 72dBA.
