Chemical Fume Cupboards
Product Description:
The analysis of various products (such as mineral ores) requires the use of acids in the analytical process. Acids are harmful to humans as well as to the environment. Accordingly, Fume Cupboards are used as a means of containing the sample whilst it undergoes various digestive or analytical experiments. The fume cupboards are kept under negative pressure to ensure the fumes do not escape into the laboratory or work area where they are housed. The captured fumes are drawn through rear baffles to cause an even airflow. The contaminated airstream is then directed to an external scrubber to clean the fumes before the cleaned air is emitted to atmosphere. (If you would like to know more about our scrubber products, click HERE.)
Our Fume Cupboards are built to rigorous international standards, including ASHRAE110-1995 and AS2243.8.
Various model sizes are available, starting from 1,500mm through to 2,400mm width. Standard case construction is Polypropylene. Options available include ceramic worktops, sinks and taps, gas spigots and various electrical point combinations. Also available as an option is an auto wash-down function, which is normally only used for Hydrofluoric and Perchloric acid applications.
